PATYKA is committed

As part of its conservation efforts, the CBNSA is responsible for creating and managing a seed bank for endangered wild flora species in the region. Currently, 143 species are preserved in the Conservatory Seed Bank, with 435 collections carried out across the CBNSA’s territory since 2004. Germination tests are conducted regularly, and some species are cultivated.

These experiments aim to improve knowledge of species biology, facilitating the cultivation of plants in laboratories or gardens (ex situ), which ultimately supports restoration or population reinforcement efforts in their natural habitats (in situ).

PATYKA proudly partners with the CBNSA in this essential mission to conserve biodiversity and protect endangered wild flora.

To mark the launch of its Lift Essentiel range, formulated with active plant cells from Angelica Archangelica, PATYKA supports the preservation programme for Angelica Heterocarpa, another species from the Angelica family. This plant is endemic to France’s Atlantic coast (it grows naturally nowhere else in the world) and is protected in France and Europe.

Listed in the Red Book of Endangered French Flora since 1995, Angelica Heterocarpa has been the focus of conservation plans since 2005. As humanity crosses planetary boundaries, including biodiversity decline, PATYKA is committed to preserving French plant species.
